Parent Trap Bachelorette Party Food
Must-Haves from the Movie
I think it is imperative that you include the food from the movie! You can do this two ways:
- Do a “taste the movie” where everyone gets a few bites of each dish while the scene plays during the movie
- If doing a weekend away, spread the meals out throughout the weekend for easy party planning
Here is what you’ll need:
- Oreos and peanut butter – it really is sooo good!
- wine – or grape juice served in wine glasses if your party is sober
- chili and cornbread – this is a great meal for the second night so the chili can simmer all day
- a big breakfast – eggs, bacon, chocolate chip pancakes, and toast the first morning of the trip
- ice cream sundaes – vanilla ice cream with whipped cream (instead of eating shaving cream of course!) and chocolate syrup
- sandwiches, chips, and Coca-Colas – “isolation” lunch but make it social
- sponge cake and tea – a great afternoon pick-me-up
- trout – you can doctor it up and actually make a really nice dinner
Other Camping Recipes to Include
Speaking of doctoring up trout, check out how Peter at Peter’s Food Adventures shows you how to make a delicious grilled trout with butter and herbs.
Did you know that you can grill French toast? Strength and Sunshine shows us how to make this delicious breakfast, perfect for a bachelorette party at the cabin.
Grilled corn on the cob is a summer staple and if you’re following The Parent Trap‘s summer camp setting, you’ll for sure want to grill up some corn. Happy Kitchen has a grilled corn on the cob recipe you won’t want to miss.
When I think of girl dinner, I think of mac & cheese! The Feathered Nester has a smoked mac and cheese that is creamy, cheesy, and smoky for that campfire feel!
Now this is a fun way to eat bacon! A Grill For All Seasons has a tasty bacon on a stick recipe that makes sitting around the campfire extra fun.
If you’re looking for a substantial dinner and want to skip Chessy’s chili & cornbread, try making Dutch Oven Daddy’s lasagna! Full of meat, pasta, and gooey, cheesy marinara, you will love it!
Crunchy Family shows us how to pop popcorn over the campfire, so fun!
Cheesy potatoes are ALWAYS a win in my book and Stef’s Eats and Sweets shows us how to make potatoes on the campfire.
Parent Trap Bachelorette Party Decorations
I’m always a big fan of backdrops as they take up a lot of decor space. Relatee has a cute camping themed tapestry that is perfect for a bachelorette party in a cabin!
Another fun banner is this one by The Rono Crafts. I love the font and it pairs really well with the invitations linked above!
To follow the theme perfectly, you can also order a customizable Camp Waldon logo as a backdrop – here’s one from Glenmeadow Ink perfect for the Parent Trap theme!
This Mess Hall Menu by Bach by Cait is perfect to place on the table decor in the kitchen! Let all the girls know what food and drink are available for the weekend away in a super creative way!
Another must-have printable in your decor space is this hand-drawn Parent Trap handshake by See Your Words! How fun would it be to have all your girls learn this handshake over the course of the bachelorette party weekend!
For the perfect balloon color scheme, make sure to order this Camp Bachelorette balloon bundle by Glitterati Party Shop!
Perfect over the cabin’s fireplace, you’ll want to grab this Camp Bride banner by Bessie in Bloom!
Since it is a bachelorette weekend and Elizabeth James has a bridal shop, you could easily transform one of the rooms as a bridal shop look-a-like. In order to do that, make sure to have the iconic top hat veil!
Here are some more ideas for The Parent Trap party decor!

Parent Trap Bachelorette Party Games & Activities
Depending on what kind of technology you have at the cabin, you will want to try to watch The Parent Trap one night.
TikTok has popularized the trend to “taste the movie” which would be a great time to eat the foods listed above if you don’t want to dedicate a whole meal to the specific dishes!
Another fun idea would be to have a contest on which team of two people can get the Parent Trap handshake done the best!
You could do a minute-to-win-it style where there is a time limit or simply give each pair the whole party/weekend to perfect it.
We also can’t forget two games from the movie – fencing and poker!
Admittedly, fencing may be harder to carry out but if you have the gear – how fun would that be?!
And make sure you bring a set of cards – regular or jumbo size (just for fun!).
This is a fun set of games by Glenmeadow Ink that just needs to be printed out! These types of games are great for the first day or at the beginning of the bachelorette party to break the ice and get to know each other.
A fun way to play trivia with The Parent Trap is to guess who said what quote – Annie or Hallie? Have everyone fill out the card before watching the movie, of course!
