Oktoberfest Party Games
Oktoberfest is all about having fun. Here are some great games you will want to play at your party:
Masskrugstemmen (Stein Holding)
Masskrugstemmen involves filling a liter of beer into a beer stein and holding the stein out directly in front of you, making sure your arms stay straight.
This is quite heavy in this position, the last person still holding their beer correctly (90 degrees) wins. Oh yeah, and if you spill, you’re out!
Keg Rolling
This one is pretty self-explanatory. You’ll want two filled kegs (you can use water) and a long stretch of grass.
Two participants will race against each other by rolling their keg with their hands to the finish line.
Those at the actual Oktoberfest celebration will use large kegs. Save money by using the small kegs – it’s still a fun game and you can use the kegs to start making your own brews at home!
Mini Golf
Head out for a trip to the nearest mini golf course in your lederhosen and dirndls! The mini golf course by my house even serves beer!
Brezelwerfen (Pretzel Tossing Game)
Brezelwerfen involves pairing off and throwing large pretzels onto a Bavarian walking stick. Have the pairs stand about eight feet apart from each other.
One person throws the pretzels while the other person keeps the stick horizontal.
The pair with the most points wins!
Stein Racing
Another straightforward game, participants race from a starting line to a finish line with a full stein of beer (or water). If you spill, you’re out!
The game is challenging enough on it’s own but you can up the difficulty by adding in some obstacles!
Digital Download Games
